REMOTE TUTORING

I’m super pleased to announce that I’ve taken a leave from the classroom to focus on my writing and tutoring business. Deficits in Special Educational supports and teaching methods cause significant challenges and distress for students with special education exceptionalities and their families.

My remote tutoring practice ensures that a student’s program is truly individualized and culturally-responsive. I am passionate about changing the conversation around special educational exceptionalities to one that is asset-based and recognizes each individual’s unique talents, strengths and needs. Neurodiversity should be regarded as a part of the daily fabric of our lives.

As part of my on-going commitment to social justice, equitable educational opportunities and anti-Black and anti-Indigenous racism, I am trying to offer tutoring to members of marginalized communities. As we know, the Covid-19 pandemic has disproportionately impacted BIPOC, especially in underserved communities. The inequities that existed in our public education system are growing exponentially greater, particularly for students with special educational needs. Whereas more affluent communities have started learning pods and have always had access to private tutors, this is completely unaffordable for families in marginalized communities.

SPONSOR A STUDENT!

PayPal ButtonPayPal Button

You or your business can help me provide online tutoring to students as a sponsor! The cost of sponsoring a student is $60 weekly or $240 monthly. Sponsorship is easy to provide via the PayPal link above.

There is currently a list of seven students who desperately need sponsoring in Toronto. While I cannot offer a tax-deductible receipt, I can offer to promote your business and your sponsorship on my social media channels and website. Please contact me, if you’d like to be involved!
